PROMO PRICING (Whilst Stocks Last): $89.95 / sqm

Due to over-stocking, we are running a limited promotion on our 14mm Australian Timber Herringbone range. We have about 800sqm of over-production stock, so we're dropping prices to just $89.95 from our regular low pricing of $97.9 / sqm. Feel free to ring us on 1800 312 848 if you have any questions.

Blackbutt herringbone flooring combines one of Australia's favourite hardwood timbers with a wirebrushed surface. It's designed to bring a rustic and classic look into any interior. On the matte wirebrushed surface, you can feel the texture and grain of the blackbutt wood.

As an engineered floor, you'll find a 3.2mm veneer of Blackbutt timber bonded with several layers of quality plywood - making it easy to install as a floating floor, and also more stable with environmental changes in temperature and moisture.

Our matte brushed blackbutt engineered timber in Herringbone comes with a Tongue & Groove (T&G) system, suitable for both floating (with PVA glue in T&G) on top of a firm underlay or direct-stick with trowel glue (we have suitable glue available).

Our Blackbutt Herringbone Floor is designed with the exact finish as our 14mm Blackbutt Matte Brushed floor, so it can be installed together. For example, herringbone is commonly installed as a feature in common areas e.g. hallways, kitchens and plank floors are installed in bedrooms, allowing versatility in choice and budget.

Features:

  • Cross-bonded 7 layers Eucalyptus and Birch construction for enhanced stability
  • 3.2mm Australian Timber Veneer (ABC grade)
  • Timber Grade: ABC Grade, Better & Standard
  • 12 layers of Treffort UV cured lacquer coating
  • T&G Installation System
  • FSC and PEFC Certified Timber

Specifications:

  • Plank Dimensions: 600 x 130 x 14mm
  • Box Size: 1.248sqm / box
  • 16 planks / box

Note: It is recommended that 15 - 20% wastage is ordered for herringbone products because more cutting is required, as compared to straight planks at 10%.

Disappointed with the texture and finish

This floor is so matt has been described as' looking dusty'. Also, the sample I received was relatively smooth, however, most planks are textured and rough to touch. I am going to the expense of getting the floor professionally sanded and coated , making it a very expensive project indeed.

How to Get Your Order?

We want to get your floors to you fast, and here’s how we do it:

  1. Warehouse Pickup - we have several warehouses in Sydney and you can confirm the address when you select "pickup" for the items in your cart at checkout. Stocked items are ready for pickup as early as 1 hour after checkout, but best to contact us to confirm.
  2. Home Delivery - delivery to your door. Same or next day delivery for Greater Sydney are possible (call 1800 312 848) and approximately 3 - 8 day delivery for Regional NSW, VIC, QLD, SA, NT.
  3. Local Depot Pickup - delivery to your closest transport depot for you to pickup anytime. May be more cost-effective than home delivery, and you can pick up at a time convenient for you. We have depots Australia-wide (Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and Darwin).

Delivery is calculated at checkout based on your orders’ size and weight. For customers from regional areas, shipping may seem pricier, but it does cost us an arm and leg to deliver to regional and rural areas. We cover part of the cost, but keep in mind, your local store also pays for shipping and factors it into your quote. Put simply, we can still provide the lowest prices - even with shipping!

Custom Shipping Quote Request

We may not be able to immediately calculate shipping to your area due to size, weight and location. If the system cannot retrieve a price for delivery at checkout or calculates an unreasonable price, you may select “Custom Shipping Quote Request”. You will not be charged at checkout until we provide you the best quote we can obtain. If the shipping quote is not suitable, we will provide you an immediate full refund on your order (note: bank may take over 48 hours to process refund into your account). Alternatively, you may also screenshot or write your order to: contact@flooringworks.com.au or call 1800 312 848 with your order and delivery address and we will obtain the quote for you and send you a custom order / invoice.

What to Expect With Delivery

We can give you an estimated date for the delivery and advise the driver to contact you in advance to co-ordinate receiving your order.

Access for Truck

As a truck, large van or ute is generally required for delivery, so please ensure clear and safe access is available for the truck to stop. Ensure the site is suitable to receive large vehicles to prevent damage to driveways, plants or the site. Our courier cannot take responsibility for any site damage relating to delivery.

Hand Unload

We generally need assistance from you to help unload the order. As each box is between 15 - 25KG, we normally recommend 2 - 3 people to be on-site to hand unload. Typically, the couriers allow for a 20 minute unloading time. Whilst the driver may assist, we expect the primary unloading to be your responsibility (unless arranged otherwise).

We only can drop to the nearest driveway, carpark or easily accessible location. Our couriers cannot unload into the house, upstairs, or into apartments (unless otherwise discussed or agreed in advance). Extra charges may apply for hand unload services.

Tail Lift Drop

In circumstances where hand unloading may not be possible, we can organise a special truck with a “lift” on the back, which can typically take up to 1000kg of weight. The driver can drop your pallet to the nearest accessible location and this typically costs around $50 per pallet space (may vary based on location).

When to Book an Installation

We recommend installers are booked after your flooring has arrived. Whilst we provide estimates on delivery, often delivery is outside our control. We cannot be responsible if floors for any costs if floors are delayed in delivery or not acclimatised properly prior to installation.

Special Notes

Any special requirements e.g. availability to receive orders on certain dates must be specified on the notes at the Cart prior to checkout. This is under “Order Instructions” in “My Cart”.
