Flooring Works' premium AquaStep laminate range is engineered with advanced water-resistant technology, combining the elegance of natural wood with the practicality of a highly water-resistant laminate surface. Features include:

Incredible Water-Resistance — built to handle household spills and everyday moisture.
Exceptional Durability — a heavy commercial-grade AC5 surface, up to 10X more scratch and stain resistant than timber.
Natural Authenticity — subtle textures, warm natural tones and authentic woodgrain patterns capture the beauty of real timber.
Licensed Valinge Locking System — a strong click-lock system that can tolerate slight subfloor unevenness, up to 4mm per metre.
3D Embossed Surface — realistic texture synchronised with the print layer for a genuine timber look.

Please note: subfloor flatness of 2mm over 1m is highly recommended for floating floors, as additional unevenness may cause movement and light creaking noises.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is AquaStep laminate actually waterproof?

Yes — rated for over 100 hours of moisture exposure, making it one of our most water-resistant laminate ranges.

How durable is AquaStep laminate?

Heavy commercial-grade AC5, said to be up to 10x more scratch and stain resistant than timber, with a licensed Välinge locking system.

How is AquaStep laminate installed?

Floating, click-lock — tolerates up to 4mm of subfloor unevenness per metre, though 2mm/metre flatness is recommended to avoid movement or creaking. See our DIY installation guide.

How do I clean and maintain AquaStep laminate?

Since it's fully water-resistant, it tolerates mopping better than standard laminate — see our cleaning and care guide.

Is AquaStep suitable for kitchens or laundries?

Its high moisture resistance makes it a strong option for kitchens and laundries — see our best flooring for wet areas guide for a full room-by-room breakdown.

How does AquaStep compare to AC5 Waterproof Laminate?

Both are top-tier waterproof-branded laminate — AquaStep is rated for 100+ hours of exposure, while AC5 below is rated 7+ days waterproof / 15+ days water-resistant. Worth comparing both before deciding.

What else do I need to complete my installation?

An underlay, matching trims for doorways and transitions, and stair nosing if your job includes stairs — see our trims guide for how to choose.
